Nike took this product directly from the football field. The Vapor Jet 4.2 has been an a amazing product for Nike on the football field. They got great feed back on the shoe from a visual standpoint. This is why they decided to take it to baseball so they could bring some of the same energy to baseball.

The key features of the Nike Vapor 90 starts with the visuals. It is a super fast design. The guy who is going to wear this shoe is looking for ever edge that he can get. It is a really light weight shoe but has great support. The toe cover wraps around tight to create excellent support for lateral movement. It promotes first step propulsion. It also has side panels that are almost welded on to give a little extra structure.

These baseball cleats utilize the Zero Space fit system and minimalistic layering to create a true fit to the foot. The newly designed out sole plate has five metal spikes and numerous TPU cleats to maintain excellent traction. The out sole design is from the old Kenny Lofton models. They added some additional traction pieces to the KLo plate. Super lightweight, super fast and slightly cored out for more speed. This shoe is the ultimate in the lightweight baseball spike.

Nike built the Nike Vapor 90 for the best speed athletes. The guy looking for this shoe is looking to steal bases, the guy who can go first to third on a single, the hit and run athlete.

Nike worked with some of the fastest athletes in baseball when testing the Nike Vapor 90. The main focus of the shoe was traction for these men of speed. There is no lost movement in this shoe because of its traction and support.

It comes in either black and white for those who want some attitude and also the all black stealth look for those who want something more conservative.

“These NIKE SHOX are good if your a nike guy or shox guy off the field…I ve owned the first model when they came out in 06. I do recommend you get a half size a little bigger just for the comfort. If your infield or catcher these are a must with standing on the dirt for 9 or more innings!”

“My 14 year old son has had problems with the growth plates in his feet. All season last year he would come off the field complaining and crying about hurting. After consulting an orthodepic surgeon we found out he needed an elevated shoe. We did try the insert but they did not work. The shox cleats have worked great. He has not had the first complaint. If I could only get the same shoe in a football cleat it would be fantastic!”

The important thing was bringing in Max Air for the first time into the sport of baseball. It has lots of cushioning, it is a nice ride.

What makes this shoe special is, we start from the bottom with the power channel outsole plate, with the nine spike configuration that Nike has proven and tested over the years, which really works for changing direction, breaking and lateral movement. What is also special is the full length file and midsole under your foot with the Max Air cushioning in the heel. It has instant comfort off the shelf. It has the same thing from an uppers stand point. It is real clean, high in synthetics and light weight. As you move up the foot you also have a support piece for support when moving laterally. The game of baseball is all about those quick bursts. This shoe will hold that athlete on the plate on the cushioning system so they can really take advantage of it. This product is iconic, clean and fits perfect right out of the box.

The shoe also has a welded TPU strip above the toe to add extra stability and durability. From a toe drag stand point you get a little extra wear on the toe. There is also a toe cap for creating that extra bit of protection.

The lacing is a quick lace system to lock you down together with the dynamic foot to fit. There is also a supplemental foam in the heel to help lock you down as well.

This shoe has been tested on college and professional ball players to fine tune the product before it hit the shelves.

From a color standpoint, Nike went away from the standard colors and added a little attitude. They have nine colors to chose from all together.
